We have also noticed that it can be hard to find a reliable source for answers to questions about copyrights, trademarks, contracts, setting up businesses, and other matters relating to creative businesses. That’s why we are excited to offer our first live, online Q&A session – the Creators Office Hours. Join us to talk directly with lawyers and get your questions answered!
Here’s The Deal
We are doing the first of these online Q&A sessions for free and we have room for 10 people. First come, first served. Current members of the Creators’ Legal Program will have registration priority.
The session will be held online on Friday, July 22, 2016 from 1-2pm PST.
By participating, you will have a chance to ask Counsel for Creators LLP partners Jonathan Tobin and Chuong Bui any questions about the law.
Why Should You Participate?
We know that creative businesses prosper when they understand the law. Understanding the law means that you are able to perform better work, collaborate better, avoid getting ripped off, get paid on time, and dodge needless disputes.
We have made it our mission to educate as many people as possible on the fundamentals of the law. You are welcome to ask as to discuss anything involving copyright, trademark, contracts, setting up a business + anything else that you think is important.
Our goal is for you to leave with some clarity on important legal issues.

- We are happy to answer general legal questions and to help you understand the law. But we cannot give you specific legal advice. We do have program for that – the Creators’ Legal Program (it’s great & affordable!). The information that we provide in this legal Q&A is meant to supplement real legal advice.
- Participating in this Q&A doesn’t mean that we are your lawyer (although we are happy to talk about that).
